About the Game

A darkness is spreading through the aquatic world… Kaida, a koifish, must become the unexpected hero needed not only by the pond she calls home, but all life surrounding them as well. Koitusgi: Legend of The Water Guardian follows Kaida’s journey for the sources of pollution, and self-discovery, in this 2D action-adventure game, lovingly hand-drawn in the Japanese style of Ukiyo-e painting. Together, you will help Kaida find her inner strength, and learn to find the beauty behind the cracks.

About the Team

I have studied game development since the late 90s, focusing on the design side. I was on a team that published mods for the game, Battlefield 1942, designing levels and creating 3D models. Missing opportunities with Blizzard and Factor5, I worked in production for a online training company a few years until the company went under. I found myself teaching game design at the college level then eventually switching to high school career tech programs. I have been teaching students how to make games for nearly 20 years. Decided it was time to make a game myself and with the help of a few others, we are now working on our title Koitsugi Legend of the Water Guardian.

Dennis Crawford - Creative Director

I'm a Visual Development/Character Design artist, currently working as a freelancer. I have my BFA in Film and my MA in Animation, but I love crafting characters from scratch and building the world around them. In my free time, I travel to anime and comic book conventions as an artist vendor. Working on Koitsugi has been an exciting new experience, and I'm loving bringing the world to life with my art.
